About us

Milmont Mud Hut is a Ceramic and Art Studio that offers many activities ranging from paint your own pottery, to Summer Camp, to wet clay classes. We are a family friendly studio that offers activities for everyone from infants to seniors.

Paint Your Own PotteryOur shop carries a wide selection of bisque pottery to choose from. Once you pick out your piece you can pick your paint colors and have a seat. There is no time limit on how long you can spend painting. There is an 8 dollar sitting fee for adults and a 5 dollar sitting fee for kids 12 and under. This sitting fee is a flat rate that accounts for paint and firing costs. Our Pottery prices range from $8-$100. An average customer will spend about $15 per person on pottery plus the price of the sitting fee. Ladies Night BYOBEvery Tuesday Night come by with your girlfriends and enjoy a night of drinks and art! Choose a piece for Paint Your Own Pottery ($5 discounted sitting fee!) or pay 25 dollars for two hours of wet clay . Tuesday Nights from 6-9 pm. Hope to see you there. *Reservations required*Kids Night OutLooking for a night out with your significant other without the hassle of finding a babysitter? Drop on by and we will provide the staff, food, movies, and fun. Offer is an all inclusive low price. Reservations required. Check our Calendar for specific dates and times.Price is $30.00 per child for 3 hours- $15.00 for each additional hour. Price includes activity, pizza and drink, movie, staff, and instruction. Kids Night Out runs every Friday night-excluding holidays.Summer CampWe offer summer camp! This is not just a clay camp. Its a multimedia camp! Students will explore many different mediums such as clay, paint, fibers, wood, and paper. Suitable for ages 5-18 Packed lunch is required. We provide snacks and water.Full Day week long camps- 9am-5pm Monday through Friday $400.00Half Day Week Long Camps 9am-1pm $175.00Custom WorkWe do custom work. Come in with your ideas and let us take care of all the painting. Looking for a gift and stumped for ideas? Tell us who its for and we will do the thinking for you! We can customize any piece to fit your needs. Take a look at our custom work gallery!Custom work is $20.00 per hour plus the price of the pottery. We carry a wide selection of pieces. Party and Wedding FavorsLooking for party favors or gifts for weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, or birthday parties? We do it all! Take a look at our selection of favors and party gifts. Choose the piece, the colors, and the amount of favors. We will take care of the rest.Infant and child handprints and footprintsLet our staff help you create a permanent keepsake of your childs hand or foot print. You can choose from a fired piece to imprint with paint, or start from scratch with wet clay! All of our paints and materials are non-toxic and safe for both children and adults. Children's Parties* A minimum of 6 painters is required for a party.* Length of party: 1.5 hours* You may bring cake, food, and beverages. We also have a menu for every restaurant in the area.* A $50 non-refundable deposit is required on all parties. This amount will be applied to the final bill.* We provide paint, brushes, stencils, sponges, stamps, idea books, and fun!!!* All pottery is non-toxic, food safe, and dishwasher and microwave safe.For a paint your own pottery party: price includes a discounted sitting fee of $4 plus the price of pottery ( which usually ends up being around 15-20 a child) For a Wet Clay handbuilding party: $20 a child for 2 balls of wet clay. Price includes personalized instruction and all materials needed.Adult's Parties (Birthday, clubs and organizations, baby showers, wedding showers, family reunions, holiday parties, or any reason to have fun!)* A minimum of 6 painters is required for a party.* Length of party: 1.5 hours* You may bring cake, food, wine, and beverages. The parties include a lesson on the history of ceramics, and its importance in many cultures around the world. After the lesson, the children are instructed in the process of ceramics, and they are able to create their own pottery based from the lesson. Length of party: 1.5 hours* You may bring food and beverages. We also have a menu for every restaurant in the area.* A $50 non-refundable deposit is required on all groups. This amount will be applied to the final bill. If prior funding is a problem, contact the studio and alternate arrangements can be made.* We provide clay, instruction, paint, brushes, stencils, sponges, stamps, idea books, and fun!!!* All pottery is non-toxic, food safe, and dishwasher and microwave safe.Price includes $20 per child for 1 large ball of wet clay. Price includes personalized instruction and all materials needed.

Each week the project is different. Previous classes included mask making, ancient pottery, dinnerware, finger puppets, mossaics, tile making, flower pots, etc... Saturdays 10am-12pm, 1pm- 3pmSundays 11am- 1pm, 2pm-4pm $300.00 for a 3 month session, or $115.00 for 1 month ( based upon 4 week months- special pricing during holiday season, contact the studio for more information)Drop ins- $30 per person per classPRIVATE CLASSES CAN BE ARRANGED AT THE SAME PRICE FOR 8 OR MORE PEOPLE. contact the studio for more information.Muddy MonkeysWe have wet clay classes for 3- 5 year olds. Let us read your child a book and open their imagination. Children are encouraged to pick a character from the book and express it with wet clay! Classes are 1.5 hours and include juice or water and a healthy snack. Please let our staff know in advance if your child has any allergies, so that we may prepare an alternate snack. The price is all inclusive. Pottery is ready for pickup within one week of creation. $30 Per ChildHome School ArtHome Schoolers that are interested in a creative curriculum can experience art class through a variety of different mediums. Numerous classes are available in clay, painting, drawing, and fibers. Class times and mediums vary by season. Please contact our studio for more information.

Directions

From Philadelphia:

Take 1-95 south towards 1-476 North Plymouth/Meeting. Take exit 1 for MacDade Blvd. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for MacDade Blvd E and merge onto MacDade Blvd. In about 1 mile, Turn left at Baltimore Ave. Turn left at Mt. Vernon Avenue. Destination will be on the Right.

From Western Suburbs (I-76 E):

Take exit 331A to merge onto I-476 S toward Chester. Travel on route for about 15 miles. Take exit 1 for MacDade Blvd. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for MacDade Blvd E. Turn left at MacDade Blvd. Turn left at Baltimore Ave. Turn left at Mt. Vernon Avenue. Destination will be on the Right.

Parking is street parking only. You may park along Baltimore Avenue or along Mt. Vernon avenue. Parking is not permitted from 11pm to 3 am.
